DC: Day 3

We started out Saturday morning by going to Union Market where my sister has started working some.  She wanted to show us her booth and then show us around the rest of the market.  It has not officially fully opened yet, but there were quite a few booths that were open for business.

We had lunch at the oyster bar and visited a delicious creamery for some chocolate milk and ice cream (I will dream of that pumpkin ice cream!).  I love the concept of this indoor market, it felt so fresh and modern.
I loved these little pumpkins that were in one of the flower bouquets

We headed to Eastern Market after that to meet up with my cousin and walk around the outdoor/indoor booths after purchasing some samosas from one of the stands.  It was the perfect fall weather we had been hoping for and it made the day absolutely beautiful.  After that, we hailed a cab and went to see some of the memorials.

We had to make a quick detour and change a diaper on the lawn after G...well...made it necessary that we do so in the Lincoln Memorial.  After that, we tried to see as many memorials as we could before our dinner reservations.

Korean War Veterans Memorial

Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial

Thomas Jefferson Memorial
National World War II Memorial

After the memorials, we took a cab to a restaurant that Jess and Kim had made reservations at for dinner.  It was a yummy Spanish tapas restaurant with great drinks.  Dinner did not go quite as well as the previous night because Gray was pretty whiny.  We took turns trying to keep him happy or taking him outside.  The up side was that we got Grayson to bed a bit earlier than the previous nights.
